Manchester Literary Festival
Everyone loves the escapism of a good book, particularly the staff at
Swinton Travel, so the sixth annual Manchester Literary Festival in
October promises to be a fine day out for book lovers. And if the
thought of meeting some of the country’s most famous literary figures
appeals to you, book a Manchester minibus and take a few of your
friends and family along for the ride!
The organisers have promised an exciting line up of some of the most
celebrated writers in the UK today, including Booker Prize winning
author, Alan Hollinghust. Kids will love the storytelling events and
dads will enjoy the combination of rugby and reading, science and
fiction.
Join newscaster, Sue MacGregor, at the famous Midland Hotel where she
will be hosting a very civilised afternoon tea. You can also look
forward to a discussion on the works of Harold Pinter by Antonia
Fraser as well as Claire Tomalin’s talk on Charles Dickens.
Bookworms can take their imagination on a trip to all kinds of
inspirational locations including 16th century Italy, Holy Mecca, the
Amazon Jungle, and even bohemian Manchester. Book (pun intended) a
Manchester minibus today and plan your activities at the most exciting
literary event of the year!
