If you haven’t yet been to see the tribute to Charles Darwin currently showing at the Manchester Museum, then make sure you head along soon as the exhibition will be drawing to a close on 1st August. This twelve-month extravaganza is in honor of one of the world’s greatest scientists, whose theory of evolution remains one of the biggest scientific advances of all time.
Learn And Enjoy
The exhibition is an excellent opportunity to find out more about the man and his theories, and how his work has impacted on our life in today’s society. It offers a fresh perspective on his life and work. Visitors can get their hands nice and dirty at the family friendly interactive exhibition called Nature Discovery.
There is a photography exhibition by local artist, Ben Hall, based on the South American landscapes and wildlife that proved inspirational to Darwin, plus an exhibition that documents Charles Darwin: Evolution of a Scientist. The Charles Darwin exhibition is a great chance to take your kids along to learn all about the grandfather of biology—if you fancy a day out, why not book a minibus and take the stress out of travel arrangements.
