A fascinating new exhibition that promises to take you on an adventure around ancient Egypt is coming to Manchester. It starts on 22nd October and will run until 27th February 2011. This spectacular reconstruction of the Pharaoh’s tomb and tresures can be found at the Museum of Museums in The Trafford Centre.
The exhibition has already travelled across Europe, where audiences have been astounded by the treasures of ancient Egypt. The treasures have been reconstructed using the latest state-of-the-art multimedia technology. Everything from the original tomb can be seen in all its glory, including the centrepiece, Tutenkhamun himself.
Treasures Of The World
You can pretend you are Howard Carter entering the burial chamber for the first time when you will see some of the most beautiful treasures in the world. From jewellery, amulets, chairs, weapons, musical instruments, to cult objects, coffers and insignia of power, all of which were crafted from precious metals and jewels. Faced with such opulence, Howard Carter was utterly transfixed—and you will be too!
Three of the tomb chambers have been reconstructed to the exact dimensions so visitors can fully appreciate the scale of the space. Do not forget to come along and if you don’t have transport, hire a minibus to take you there
