The Warhol exhibition at the Lowry is based around the idea of the ‘Diva’, a phenomenon born
at the start of the Warhol revolution. The show features a large selection of his most famous silkscreens, photographs and film of desirable Divas, including Grace Jones, Debbie Harry, Marilyn Monroe and Mick Jagger.
Many of the collection of photographs featured in The Lowry exhibition show Warhol mixing with some of the most famous faces of the 1960s, 70s and 80s, many of whom he later immortalised in silk screen works of art.
